When we first started working with Pretzel, it was designed as a visual receipt aggregator and finance tracking app aimed at helping users better understand their financial habits. However, based on investor feedback, user interviews, and testing, we quickly pivoted the app’s focus to social shopping. We recognized the need for a strong value proposition and a clear problem to solve, positioning Pretzel for a more impactful market presence

The "Save to Pretzel" feature enabled users to add products from any website to a personal collection. Users could add items through the share sheet, hyperlink, or by manually uploading a photo. We designed an MVP that allowed users to effortlessly create collections, making it easy to compare items they were considering for purchase—a bit like a wedding registry, but for everyday shopping.
